February is already coming to an end, and we may say, yes time is passing at an incredible speed! So, after a workshop with our partner WUA La Boutique, in Geneva and our presence at Printemps, in Paris, we found that the term that came up most often in our exchanges with you concerns QUALITE. So for those we haven't been able to meet to explain it to you in person, here is in a few words the definition and the importance given to him at Hic-Nunk.
"Quality is never an accident. It's always the result of an intelligent effort."John Ruskin
Quality research is the foundation of the brand. It is because Hermellia, our Founder, could not find products that met her quality requirements that our product range was born. What are his requirements? These are the foundations of the quality made in Hic-Nunk:
– product composition: throughout the development of the range, we worked with a hair products formulator, with whom we discussed for a long time the most effective plant materials for dry hair. Despite some constraints, often related to cost, we have not allowed any compromise on the choices of these materials, and have refused materials often used in hair products, to ensure the maximum effect of care on the hair. Dry;
-the quality of raw materials: once selected, the materials were also the subject of an important discussion: choose them pure or diluted? Ditto here, no compromise, to ensure efficiency, pure materials were a no-brainer. Of course the cost has been impacted: organic plant materials for the most part, often rare and without diluant… But an immediate effect on dry and curly hair, and a change in consumption mode to initiate… (on this subject we'll go back to it later);
– made in France: in choice as important for our brand in order to meet this time the safety standards, guarantee healthy products, tested and authorised by French and European kormes, we insisted on the made in France formulation, to the packaging and our various partners in terms of communication and marketing. A deliberate choice to further reinforce this French identity of inclusive beauty (yes, all types of loops, of ethnic origin, that make the French landscape so colorful);
– simplicity: we wanted to create a short range, developing products necessary for the proper care of dry and curly hair, without frills, in order to be able to adopt a simple and effective routine, without getting lost in a host of products for this or that Effect. For us a hair that is given a healthy and regular care, allows to have beautiful hair, strong, that grows well, that does not break and that reveal sets their nature and beauty. There is no secret.
There you go. Hoping to have you some clarification on Hic-Nunk and its philosophy in terms of quality. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to comment and you are answered 😉
